THE OTHER DAY I THOUGHT I HEARD WHAT HE WAS THINKING AND IT WASN’T VERY NICE EITHER. UNFORTUNATELY, I RESPONDED IN KIND BUT OUT LOUD.
WITH HIS FLABBERGASTED GLANCE AT MY ABILITY TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS TRYING SO HARD TO HIDE . . . HE DECLARED WITH A SMILE, “I GUESS I JUST NEED TO ACCEPT, AFTER 50+ YEARS, THAT WHEN I AM UPSET WITH YOU OR SOMETHING ELSE, YOU WILL KNOW WHAT IT IS!”
“So, when your husband’s wandering thought reflections end up in your head, try to be kind. It only proves the years together have definitely made you ‘one’ in every way! This is a huge mystery, and I don’t pretend to understand it all. What is clear to me, loving and honoring each other, even in our disagreements, we both experience that ‘oneness’ God has always intended.”
