Question 1: What are you most excited about in your life right now – today?
My daughters and grandson are coming for Christmas! Everything else takes the back seat this month, for sure. I even decorated the house a month earlier than I usually do.
Question 2: What do you sometimes pretend you understand that you really don’t?
Why people sometimes use a holiday like Christmas or New Years to drink too heavily. I would hope they would find a healthier way to celebrate the season. Holidays like these always seem to tempt us all to overindulge, whether it is with alcohol or food. It’s a paradox for me with my health challenging history, when I know I shouldn’t have that extra piece of pumpkin pie, but I do anyway.
Question 3: What’s something new you recently learned about yourself?
Throughout my life I have always thought myself to be a patient person. Yet, as I move through my senior years, I find myself more impatient and easily frustrated than usual. How about blaming it on my hormones jumping ship! I think that is a perfectly legitimate excuse, right?!
Question 4: What was the most defining moment in your life during this past year?
With each year, I am simply grateful and celebrate the moments gifted me and consider each one a defining moment in time. In this past year, however, I am becoming more accepting of my age and the limitations that come with it. I always have been determined to be as healthy as possible, and young in soul and body. Yet, the senior years are teaching me to relax a little more about the journey.
Question 5: What makes you feel secure?
To know I can rely on my faith and family to get me through anything, no matter what the circumstances.
Question 6: What’s the number one change you need to make in your life in the next twelve months?
I honestly cannot think of any number one change I need to make. That just may mean I need to call my coaching friend to coach me through this one! Maybe that number one thing is something I may need to change but don’t want to. So, I simply let it slip out of mind. I bet others around me may wish I would give that “mysterious” change a try!
Question 7: What are the top three qualities you look for in a friend?
I would hope the top three qualities, faith, integrity, and fun, I look for in a friend are the same ones I also offer my friend.
